Terms of Service

Last updated: April 25, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using AmmoIQ ("the Service"), operated by AmmoIQ ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and Acceptable Use Policy. Together, these documents form the complete agreement between you and AmmoIQ regarding your use of the Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service. We may update these terms at any time, and your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

2. Account Registration

You may create an account using an email address and password or by authenticating through Google OAuth. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate and complete information during registration and keep your account information up to date.

Two-factor authentication (TOTP) is available and recommended for account security. You may enable two-factor authentication from your account Settings page.

For security purposes, accounts may be temporarily locked after multiple consecutive failed login attempts. We may suspend accounts that appear to be compromised.

3. Premium Subscriptions

AmmoIQ offers optional Premium subscriptions that unlock additional features. Subscriptions are billed through Stripe, our third-party payment processor.

  • Pricing: Premium subscriptions are available at $4.99 per month (monthly plan) or $39.99 per year (annual plan). Prices are charged in U.S. dollars.
  • Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date. We will send you an email reminder in advance of each renewal. You will be charged the then-current subscription rate at the time of renewal.
  • Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time with one click from your account Settings page -- no phone calls, surveys, or retention offers required. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access to Premium features until that period ends.
  • Compliance: Our cancellation process complies with the FTC 2025 click-to-cancel rule, California SB-313, New York GBL 527-a, and the Colorado auto-renewal law.
  • Refunds: For full details on cancellation and refunds, see our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
  • Payment Processing: All payment transactions are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your full credit card number on our servers. By subscribing, you also agree to Stripe's Terms of Service.

5. Ballistics Disclaimer and Assumption of Risk

IMPORTANT: Ballistics calculations provided by AmmoIQ are for educational and informational purposes only. They must not be relied upon as professional, legal, or safety advice.

Ballistic performance in real-world conditions is affected by numerous variables, including but not limited to wind speed and direction, temperature, altitude, humidity, barrel condition and length, ammunition lot-to-lot variation, scope mounting and zeroing, and individual shooter skill. Mathematical models, no matter how sophisticated, cannot fully account for all real-world variables that affect bullet trajectory and terminal performance.

Assumption of Risk

You acknowledge that shooting and handling firearms are inherently dangerous activities. By using the Service, you voluntarily assume all risks associated with any activities undertaken in reliance on data, calculations, or information obtained from the Service. You assume full responsibility for independently verifying all data before use.

Waiver and Release

You hereby waive and release AmmoIQ, its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from any and all claims, demands, or causes of action arising from your use of or reliance on ballistic calculations, trajectory data, DOPE cards, or any other information provided by the Service.

Always verify your specific firearm and ammunition combination at the range. For our complete safety disclaimer, see our Safety Disclaimer.

6. Firearms Safety

AmmoIQ is a digital tool -- it is not a substitute for proper firearms training, safety courses, or hands-on instruction. You are solely responsible for safe firearms handling at all times. All users must observe the following fundamental safety rules:

  • Treat every firearm as if it is loaded.
  • Never point a firearm at anything you do not intend to shoot.
  • Always be sure of your target and what is beyond it.
  • Keep your finger off the trigger until you are ready to fire.
  • Obey all applicable federal, state, and local laws regarding firearms, ammunition, and shooting activities.

Users are solely responsible for safe firearms handling at all times. AmmoIQ does not provide hunting advice, legal guidance regarding firearms, or recommendations for use in any specific context.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in any manner that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair the Service. The following activities are strictly prohibited:

  • Posting, transmitting, or distributing content that is illegal under federal, state, or local law.
  • Abusing, harassing, threatening, or intimidating other users of the Service.
  • Using automated tools, bots, scrapers, or crawlers to access, extract, or download data from the Service without our prior written consent.
  • Attempting to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other user accounts, or our servers and infrastructure.
  • Interfering with or disrupting the integrity or performance of the Service.

For the complete list of prohibited content, activities, and consequences, see our Acceptable Use Policy.

8. Community Guidelines and Content Moderation

AmmoIQ provides community features including forums and blog comments. All users participating in community features must adhere to the following guidelines:

  • Engage in respectful discourse. Treat other members with courtesy and professionalism.
  • Share accurate information. Do not intentionally post misleading ballistic data, unsafe load recipes, or fabricated performance claims.
  • No personal attacks, name-calling, or targeted harassment of any kind.
  • No spam, self-promotion, or off-topic commercial solicitation.

Our moderation team may take the following actions in response to violations: content removal, thread locking, temporary or permanent forum bans, or account suspension. When moderation action is taken, we will provide the reason for the action.

AmmoIQ acts as an interactive computer service provider under Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act (47 U.S.C. Section 230(c)(1)) and is not the publisher or speaker of user-generated content posted by users of the Service.

To report a violation of these guidelines, contact us at [email protected].

9. Content Ownership and License

You retain full ownership of all content you create within the Service, including gun profiles, DOPE cards, ammo loadouts, forum posts, blog comments, shooting session logs, and any other user-generated content.

By using the Service, you grant AmmoIQ a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, display, and process your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. Content that you mark as shared or public will be visible to other users of the Service in accordance with the sharing settings you select.

DOPE card photos and other uploaded media are stored on secure cloud infrastructure. You may export your data at any time from the Settings page.

10. API Terms of Use

API access is available exclusively to Premium subscribers. By using the AmmoIQ API, you agree to the following terms in addition to these Terms of Service:

  • Confidentiality: API keys are confidential credentials. You must not expose API keys in client-side code, public repositories, or any publicly accessible location.
  • Prohibited Uses: You may not resell or redistribute data obtained through the API, use API data to build a competing service, exceed published rate limits, or share your API keys with third parties.
  • Revocation: We may revoke API keys for abuse without notice.

API access is provided on an as-available basis without uptime guarantees or service level agreements.

11. Data from Third Parties

AmmoIQ incorporates ballistic data sourced from manufacturer specifications, including ballistic coefficients, muzzle velocities, and bullet weights. Ammo pricing data is sourced from third-party retailers.

We make reasonable efforts to ensure accuracy but do not guarantee that third-party data is complete, current, or error-free. Ammo pricing data may be delayed, cached, or differ from the retailer's current price. Always verify prices directly with the retailer before making a purchase.

12. DMCA and Intellectual Property

We respect the intellectual property rights of others and comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), 17 U.S.C. Section 512. If you believe that content available on AmmoIQ infringes your copyright, please send a DMCA takedown notice to [email protected] with the following information:

  • A description of the copyrighted work you believe has been infringed.
  • The URL or location within the Service where the infringing material is found.
  • Your contact information (name, address, email, phone number).
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner.
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf.
  • Your physical or electronic signature.

In accordance with 17 U.S.C. Section 512(i), we will terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who are repeat infringers.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless AmmoIQ, its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in any way connected with: (a) your access to or use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms or any applicable law; (c) your violation of any third-party rights, including intellectual property rights; (d) your use of ballistic calculations, DOPE cards, trajectory data, or any other information obtained through the Service in connection with firearms, ammunition, or shooting activities; or (e) any content you post or submit to the Service.

14. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, AMMOIQ LLC, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR USE, BODILY INJURY, DEATH, OR PROPERTY DAMAGE ARISING FROM THE USE OF FIREARMS OR AMMUNITION IN RELIANCE ON DATA PROVIDED BY THE SERVICE, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT, NEGLIGENCE, STRICT LIABILITY, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY.

Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the greater of: (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or (b) fifty U.S. dollars ($50.00).

15. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT: (A) BALLISTIC CALCULATIONS WILL BE ACCURATE OR CORRESPOND TO REAL-WORLD PERFORMANCE; (B) AMMO PRICING DATA WILL BE COMPLETE, CURRENT, OR ERROR-FREE; (C) THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR FREE OF ERRORS; OR (D) ANY DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED.

16. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we determine, in our sole discretion, violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties, or for any other reason.

You may terminate your account at any time by using the "Delete Account" option in your account Settings. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Your data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

If we terminate your account for cause (violation of these Terms), no refund of prepaid subscription fees will be issued.

Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect, including but not limited to content ownership, disclaimers of warranties, limitations of liability, indemnification, and the arbitration provision.

17. Dispute Resolution and Arbitration

Informal Resolution

Before initiating any formal dispute resolution, you agree to contact us at [email protected] and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least thirty (30) days.

Binding Arbitration

If the dispute is not resolved informally, you and AmmoIQ agree to resolve it through binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under the AAA Consumer Arbitration Rules then in effect.

Class Action Waiver

YOU AND AMMOIQ LLC EACH WAIVE THE RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL AND THE RIGHT TO PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS ACTION, COLLECTIVE ACTION, PRIVATE ATTORNEY GENERAL ACTION, OR OTHER REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING.

Carve-Outs

Notwithstanding the above: (a) either party may bring an individual action in small claims court for disputes within the court's jurisdiction; (b) this arbitration provision does not preclude you from bringing issues to the attention of federal, state, or local agencies; (c) nothing in this section shall prevent any party from seeking injunctive or other equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction, including claims under California law relating to public injunctive relief (McGill v. Citibank, N.A., 2 Cal. 5th 945 (2017)).

Federal Arbitration Act

This arbitration agreement is governed by the Federal Arbitration Act (9 U.S.C. Sections 1-16) and shall survive termination of these Terms.

Opt-Out

You may opt out of this arbitration provision by sending written notice to [email protected] within thirty (30) days of creating your account. The notice must include your name, email address associated with your account, and a clear statement that you wish to opt out of arbitration.

18. Trade Compliance

AmmoIQ uses publicly available ballistic data derived from manufacturer specifications, including ballistic coefficients, muzzle velocities, and bullet weights. This data falls within the public domain exemption under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), 22 CFR Section 120.34, and is not subject to export controls.

However, the Service is intended for use within the United States. You agree not to access or use the Service from any country or territory subject to comprehensive United States sanctions administered by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), including Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, and the Crimea, Donetsk, and Luhansk regions of Ukraine.

19. General Provisions

  • Force Majeure: AmmoIQ shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform resulting from events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, acts of war or terrorism, government actions, internet or infrastructure disruptions, pandemics, or labor disputes.
  • Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
  • Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Acceptable Use Policy, and all other policies referenced herein, constitute the entire agreement between you and AmmoIQ regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
  • No Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.
  • Assignment: We may assign or transfer our rights and obligations under these Terms without restriction. You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations without our prior written consent.

20. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Idaho, United States of America, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal action or proceeding arising under these Terms that is not subject to arbitration shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Ada County, Idaho, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.
